Blueberry Products

In Quebec during the month of August it pick up this little blue fruit.  Blueberry plants grow on a bush of the family of Vaccinium. The flowers are bell-shaped and give the little fruit bluish sometimes blackish. They are found in the mountains, peat bogs and forests. The harvest is almost always hand-picked. It is estimated that the Blueberry has existed for more than thirteen thousand years ago in Canada. The indigenous peoples ate fresh blueberries. They dried also blueberries in the sun to be used in the recipes of biscuits and cakes. They crushed dried fruits and used them as a seasoning for meat and soups. Succulent on your yoghurts, pancakes, muffins, cakes, or in sauce with some meats such as pork medallions.
